Bear Drive Information

When Emery Miller was in fifth grade, he was challenged to give more than he received that year for Christmas. After overcoming four open-heart surgeries before the age of seven, Emery had the idea to donate a single teddy bear back to the place that saved his life, Phoenix, Children’s Hospital. What began with the idea of a single bear quickly grew into an initiative that is made waves across the country. Since 2011, Team Emery has donated hundreds of thousands of bears to more than 15 states across the nation and dozens of impactful organizations, such as hospitals, Ronald McDonald houses, police/fire departments, foster care facilities, and more.

Through Emery’s battle with congenital heart defects, our organization understands the weight a teddy bear holds, representing hope, encouragement, bravery, and that light at the end of the tunnel on a children’s darkest day. Team Emery knows every bear represents a name, a family, and a story, and we are blessed to continue making that impact in families across the nation, year in and year out.
